Daifuku’s Story
A story of rescue, remembrance and a gift that arrived at just the right time.
Daifuku (大福) was found abandoned and underweight outside the office of Voices for Animals, a dog shelter, and was transferred to Bunny Wonderland (BW), a rabbit shelter, in February 2026. There she was sterilised and cared for by a BW foster volunteer. Finding the right family took time — she met many potential adopters and even went on a trial stay but none of them worked out.
On 2 June 2026, our very first and much-loved bunny, Miffy, passed away unexpectedly at just three years old. It broke our hearts. Three days later, on 5 June, by the grace of God, Daifuku came home to us.
We were apprehensive at first, but she settled in immediately. Miraculously, she is almost like a continuation of Miffy’s life — her behaviour, likes and dislikes are nearly identical to Miffy’s. We can only attribute this to God’s loving hand.
